In Turkey Wimax area research have been done by the T.C. "SOTCOM"

Alvarion Company's Breeze Max 3500 have been used.

The project of Wimax in Turkey Was started by the Ministry of Education of Turkish Republic. The main purpose was to provide Internet Access for rural area schools, which don't have wire connection to Turkish Telecom infrastructure. Internet Access is one of the key factors in children's education and their brilliant future. The future of every country is well-educated children.

 

Turkish Telecom, as an expert in the field of modern technologyes, managed this Project. The main difficulty was, of course, to provide wireless connection to those far ural areas. And then fort he first time in Turkey there was born the idea of Wimax deployment.

 

Now thw first and only Net of Wimax – 2004 standard in Turkey has been operating in Bogazliyan/Yozgat for more than 3 months. System installed by PEGASUS (System owner from Turkey) and SOTCOM (Alvarior Technical Center from Russia) had shown amazing result in providing stable and fast connection to the Internet. Children are very happy indeed and greatful to all who contribute of the Project.
